On the afternoon of Saturday, September 5, 2020, at about 1:30 pm, the Anaheim Police Department received reports of a gunshot victim at the Candlewood Suites, located at 1733 S. Anaheim Boulevard in the City of
Anaheim.
Arriving officers located an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound near the hotel entrance. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
The victim from the homicide occurring Saturday September 5, 2020, has been identified as 20-year-old, Anaheim resident Rodolfo Alfredo Miranda.
Anaheim Police Homicide Detectives are continuing the investigation. The shooting is suspected to be gang related. Identification of the victim is expected to be made public on Sunday, September 6, 2020.
