Frank Moseley, a 27-year old man, in a car with a baby flagged down a patrol officer on Thursday afternoon to say he had killed a woman, according to the O.C. Register.
Moseley exited his vehicle with a 6-8 month old baby girl in his arms and began yelling at the officer to shoot him. The officer involved used incredible restraint in dealing with the situation and was able to convince Moseley to put the baby down and take Moseley into custody.
Fortunately the baby girl was not hurt. She was taken away by one police officer while another one held the suspect at gunpoint, at Wilshire Ave., north of Lincoln Ave., at about 1:40 p.m.
Moseley told the police that the woman was at an apartment on East Wilken Way.
The police also received a 911 call regarding the woman. When they arrived at her apartment someone was performing CPR on her. She died at the scene. She had traumatic injuries but the police have not yet revealed how she was killed.
Moseley, a resident of Anaheim, was booked late last night for one count of first degree murder. He is
being held at the Anaheim Detention Facility on $1,000,000 bail.
The baby has been determined to be the couple’s child. The baby was unharmed and is in protective custody at Orangewood Children’s Home. The motive for the killing is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
